Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) Model Systems are funded by the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR). They are called "model systems" because they are national leaders in SCI care and research. There are 14 SCI Model Systems Centers across the U.S. and one SCI Model Systems Data Center that directs the collection, management and analysis of a longitudinal national SCI database.
