She is the Chief of Medicine at Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center. She graduated from Warsaw Medical School in Warsaw, Poland and completed postgraduate training in Poland and Montreal Heart Institute. She is an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine at the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California. She is involved with clinical aspect of SCI being a physician in the SCI Clinic and improving patient care by assuming a leading role of the Enhanced Patient Centered Medical Home for Persons with Spinal Cord Disorders. Dr. Szlachcic research include treatment of secondary condition in SCI and particularly in women with SCI.
