Recruiting African Americans and Latinos with TBI for a Health Information Needs Study
Model Systems Knowledge Translation Center Research Study
Who can participate?
We need people who:
• Have had a traumatic brain injury
• Are African American, or Latino/Hispanic, and
• Are over 18.
What is this research activity about and what will you ask me to do?
We are creating materials for individuals with traumatic brain injury (TBI), and other interested people. To make the most useful materials, we need to understand the needs of individuals with TBI. Your opinions will help provide better health information for individuals with TBI and others.
Participants will be needed for a 60-minute telephone interview. We will ask you to complete a questionnaire, and ask some questions about your health information needs. You will be compensated $75 for your time.
Do I have to participate in this research activity?
No. It is your choice to participate or not. Also, you have the right to stop participating at any time, and you do not have to answer any questions that you don’t want to. There are no penalties if you choose not to participate or stop participating. All information you provide will be confidential.
