Boston-Harvard Burn Injury Model System (BH-BIMS) is a collaborative research effort between Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital (SRH), Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH), and Harvard Medical School (HMS). The mission of the burn programs at MGH, BWH, and SRH is to promote excellence in patient care, education, and research. With an active group of burn injury clinicians and researchers as a part of its research team, BH-BIMS spans across the continuum of care, from prevention programs and emergency services to outpatient care, with a special focus on burn reconstruction, psychiatric follow-up, community reintegration, and vocational rehabilitation.
