Philip Requejo, Ph.D.
Data Management Director/Project Associate Director - Southern California SCIMS
He is the Director of Rehabilitation Engineering Department and Co-Director of the RERC on Technologies for Successful Aging with Disability. He received his undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering and PhD degree in Kinesiology from the University of Southern California. He is a faculty in the Department of Biomedical Engineering and Department of Kinesiology, and Department of Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy at USC. His research primarily falls into several broad areas of rehabilitation engineering and biomechanics research; focusing on the design, analysis, and implementation of technologies to preserve and enhance mobility in those with spinal cord injury- particularly focusing on the biomechanics of the weight-bearing shoulder to prevent and treat shoulder pain.
