Dr. Kalpakjian is an Assistant Professor and Clinical Psychologist with specialized training in Rehabilitation Psychology and post-graduate training in clinical research. Her research focuses on menopause and health in midlife women with SCI, gender differences in health and well-being after SCI, depression risk after injury and the effect of stress on physiological and psychological parameters in the context of disability. She serves on the Early Career Committee for ACRM, the Institutional Review Board at the UM Medical School (IRBMED), the Michigan Institute for Clinical and Health Research (MICHR) Education and Mentoring Core Committee, and as Co-Director of the MICHR Practice Oriented Clinician Research Training (PORT) Program.
