Dr. Monahan is an Associate Professor in the IUSM Department of Biostatistics. He received his Ph.D. in Educational Measurement and Statistics with a minor Biostatistics from the University of Iowa in 2002. His research interests are in psychometrics, IRT, differential item functioning (DIF), dimensionality assessment, and quality of life. He was the PI of a NIH-NCI R03 grant to perform simulation studies aimed at improving the methods for detecting DIF and assessing dimensionality in mammography screening belief scales. Dr.
