The Georgia Model Brain Injury System (GAMBIS) is managed by researchers from Shepherd Center, a comprehensive rehabilitation hospital located in Atlanta, Georgia. Shepherd Center’s brain injury rehabilitation program provides a full continuum of treatment for patients with traumatic brain injury that includes acute care, post-acute rehabilitation, community re-entry, and ongoing community services. Through innovative research and advance medical care, Shepherd Center is committed to helping patients achieve outcomes that make them as independent as possible, and supports their successful return to their homes, schools, workplaces, and communities.
