Regional SCI Center of the Delaware Valley

Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and Magee Rehabilitation Hospital make up one of the 14 Model Spinal Cord Injury Centers in the country. These centers are designated by the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR) in the U.S. Department of Education, which has awarded grants to Thomas Jefferson University each year since 1978. As the Regional Spinal Cord Injury Center of the Delaware Valley (RSCICDV), the Jefferson-Magee program provides treatment and rehabilitation to thousands of individuals with spinal cord injury. Since 1978, this Spinal Cord Injury Center has been providing a coordinated, multidisciplinary system of acute care and rehabilitation for individuals disabled by spinal cord injury. The Center is nationally recognized and certified by the Commission for Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and Magee Rehabilitation Hospital were recognized in U.S. News & World Report as among the best in the country.
