Boston-Harvard Burn Injury Model System

Boston-Harvard Burn Injury Model System (BH-BIMS) is a partnership of Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), Shriners Hospitals for Children – Boston (Shriners), Spaulding Rehabilitation Network (SRN), and Harvard Medical School (HMS). Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital (SRH) is part of the Partners Healthcare System (Partners) and is the flagship facility of SRN. Partners include MGH and SRH, two major teaching institutions of Harvard. Shriners is an international leader in the field of pediatric burn care and research. The mission of the burn programs at Shriners, MGH, and SRH is to promote excellence in patient care, education, and research. BH-BIMS spans across the continuum of care, from prevention programs and emergency services to outpatient care, with a special focus on burn reconstruction, psychiatric follow-up, community reintegration, and vocational rehabilitation.
