Abstract:
Study examining the association of acute variables with disposition after acute hospitalization for traumatic brain injury (TBI). Revised Trauma Score (RTS), Injury Severity Score (ISS), and the Combined Trauma Score Injury Severity Score (TRISS-RTS) were compared with discharge disposition after acute hospitalization for 378 consecutive TBI patients. Results of logistic regression modeling suggest that RTS, ISS, and TRISS-RTS are predictors of discharge disposition after acute hospitalization for TBI, and may be useful measures for rehabilitation services resource planning early in the course of the TBI case management.
