Abstract:
Presents guidelines for teachers to use to identify students with traumatic brain injury (TBI) and recommends effective teaching strategies for these students. Discusses considerations for assessment, placement, and interventions for overcoming difficulties with concentration and attention, memory, executive functioning, and communication. Educational interventions include compensatory strategies, environmental modifications and accommodations, and alternate assessments.
