Abstract:
Study tracked the usage of a pushrim-activated, power-assisted wheelchair (PAPAW) in the community and assessed the driving characteristics of manual wheelchair users with spinal cord injury (SCI). Speed and distance traveled was tracked for both the PAPAW and the subjects' own wheelchairs. No significant differences in usage were found between the personal wheelchair and the PAPAW.
