Abstract:
This study, also site specific,is a continuation from the previous funding cycle. It focuses on Acute Stress Disorder(ASD) and Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), a problem that can impair the well-being of burn patients. The study proposes to determine the causes of ASD and PTSD and the relationship between these two disorders and to elucidate a history of the development of PTSD. The project has been expanded to examine the effects of Propranolol on the prevalence of PTSD many years later.
